  • Total Investment = Rs 1000 x 3 months = Rs 3000
  • Total Units Purchased = 100 + 83.33 + 90.9 = 274.23 units
  • Weighted Average Purchase Price = Rs 3000 / 274.23 units = Rs 10.94 per unit.

2. Moving Average

A moving average calculates the average of a set of values over a specific period, and then “moves” forward, dropping the oldest value and adding the newest one.
